These grilled tuna steaks are seasoned with Smoked Salt and a hint of garlic, then seared to perfection for a rich, bold flavor. A squeeze of fresh lemon and a drizzle of olive oil enhance the natural umami of the fish, making this a simple yet impressive dish.
Serves: 2
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 6 minutes
Ingredients:
2 tuna steaks (about 6 oz each)
1 tsp Smoked Salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp smoked paprika (optional, for extra depth)
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp olive oil, divided
Juice of half a lemon
Fresh basil or parsley for garnish
Instructions:
Pat the tuna steaks dry with a paper towel. Rub both sides with 1 tablespoon of olive oil, Smoked Salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and minced garlic.
Heat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Sear the tuna for about 2-3 minutes per side (for medium-rare) or longer if you prefer it more cooked.
Remove from the heat and let the tuna rest for a minute.
Drizzle with the remaining olive oil and fresh lemon juice. Garnish with basil or parsley and serve immediately.
